Bob Young was born in Dalmuir, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1951. After twenty-one years in eastern Canada, the Young family moved to Calgary. While living in Ontario, Bob pursued his interest in art as a member of the Burlington Fine Arts Group. During a sojourn in Ottawa, he was accepted into the Pastel Society of Canada and has had his work presented in their Montreal and Ottawa exhibitions. In 1984, Bob participated in the Stockman's Memorial Foundation Western Art Show. His work can be found in many private collections across Canada including Alberta Energy Company and the Calgary City Hall. Bob Young has developed an eye for detail and the ability to capture the strength, courage and inner spirit of his subjects through the subtle medium of pastel portraiture. Over the years, he has created a substantial body of work depicting many notable western Canadians. We have assembled a selection of Mr. Young's work for your consideration. Each fine art print is certified, numbered and signed by the artist. We feature a Giclée series of 100 prints (and 10A/Ps) available in four sizes. link below- www.stampedegraphics.com/bobyoung/index.html
