I have Judith (Josephte) langer b. 1827, wife of Joseph Morin(b. 1827, d. 1846). Judith's parents listed as Francoise langer and Marguerite George.

www.censusfinder.com . Select Minnesota for the State. then find the 1850 Minnesota Territorial Census . thereis an alphebitzed index to this census to help you find your langers.
then type in Half Breed Land Tract into google. You should find a website with te word Maquah. . Deals with the Ojibway and half breed land scrips that were handed out @1835. Francois claimed several landscrips and so did Edward, and alexis and John. I believe thereis an alphebetized Index which tells you about each person.

Some of these people are buried in the Metis Cemetery at Pembina, North Dakota.
