Why is he not ? He has nothing to do with changing info. He just gave testimonial to what took place. I know we all want to be right but there is his word on what took place.

Kermit: I am not doubting his account of meeting Joe jack Frazier.now that I think of it and checked my records, he is right, his sister's daughter did marry Joe jack's father. Please forgive my error.

congrats on the new addition to your family. The only tree I have seen for the Redwing family, begins with Wakute. He had several wives. There's nothing I can find for Chief Walking Buffalo. I am wondering if the Minn. Historical Soc. in St.Paul may have something on him. I have asked the Redwing descendants here if they know anything about Walking buffalo, and they are in the dark like me re. family information. You have my phone number.

Yahusdawin(daughter of Harpiston and Joseph LaRocque)was the mother of Lucy according to affidavit by James "Bully" Wells for her Lake Pepin land scrip. Harpiston was the daughter of Chief Walking Buffalo, and sister to Wakute.

Kermit this is just a guess, but Walking Buffalo would have been her father, as he was the father of Wakute. Joe jack said Wakute was his uncle.

I received the following message from a descendant of the la Rocques and Williams families, wholives at prairie island,MN.
Guess Joe Jack Frazier had an unknown daughter at the Redwing village, later removed to reservation with her mother. When 1862 happened the fled with others but was captured in Montevideo area and taken to snelling. Her descendents came here from Santee. Thats what Eliza Rouillard said. She been gone since te the daughter was Julia Frazier, daughter of Naiyowazawin. Joe jack and Julia's mother divorced when Julia was 2 years old. her mother then married chief Kahboke in the early 1840's in Minnesota. Julia Frazier had a son David keyto by an unk. man, then wed Thomas Rouillard, an episcopal minister. they had 2 daughters, Julia, and Eliza.eliza wed Solomon Wells and had several children.

Kermit: One source 2which refers to the Indian name (Itemaza) for Joe jack Frazier is Henry Sibley who authored "Iron Face. The Adventures of Jack Frazier,Fronier Warrior, Scout, and Hunter". The Find A Grave Bio on him mentions his Indian name as Itemuzah. the link to his grave site is below; www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=47678000

Hi Hermin. Just dropping you a line to say hello.
Read one of the old post on Abigail Winnona Crawford. Dated Nov 14, 2010. Snow white was asking about Mazadehdegawin.
Well any way it went on to say Mazadehdegawin father was walking buffalo and mother was unknown. Said Mazadehdegawin married a ralitive of Chief Scarlet Plume (Sisseton). And her daughter Chief Waanaton (Charger).
Mazadehdegawin 2nd spouse was Makaaoncitamani they had a daughter Julia Hazatawin aka aunt Judy 1813-1889. Her spouse was John Cole. They had a daughter Hampedewin or Augusta Meining.
It was interesting to read that.
What more can you tell me about your information?
Still doing my research at a slow pace

The family is doing well. I haven't found a job yet. I'm doing ok and my boys are growing fast. I'm still here in Santee. SORRY to here that your not feel so well. My prayers are with you.
Just wondering if this Mazadehdegawin and Harpiston are sister? Both daughters of Walking buffalo.
Well would it be safe to say they where sister? If so I would like to add the information on to the family tree.
Be safe Herman
