Battle Of Shakopee Participants These men had their Annuity retained in 1860 because of there participation in this Battle against the Chippewa(?) The annuity payment was $20. Their wives and children still got there payment of $20 each.

Hi Joy,
When I created this list I took the names from the 1860 Annuity. By certain names of the Dakota men they had $20 retained, this was for participating in the battle.
So far I have not found any more info on this battle. Probably in Military correspondence.
