References i checked for confirmation of the testimony re. The reason for doing such an extensive search, was mainly because, 1: many people at Crow Creek and Santee, and Sisseton Reserves were quite interested in the land that Kanginonpa/Two Crow had accumulated(close to 360 Acres), not to mention his son John Stone(180 Acres). 2.some of those who testified did a little creative genealogy(trying to create a genealogical link to someone ,where there is n't one),case in point was one of the laRoches who claimed that his alleged half sister named Day Woman, was the wife of Two Crow, and mother of John Stone and his sister. the BIA Agent in charge of the hearings admitted in a report to his superiors, that this woman was not in any of the BIA records for Crow Creek Agency. What I did find, was that Two Crow was married to a woman named Little Day.(Reference: BIA Crow Creek Agency Rations Records and Family Record for Two Crow/Kanginonpa. 3. To confirm that the children of Wayruga did exist.
