Welcome to the new board, Joanne and nice to see you Vmarier. hope all is well in your section of the world. Did you get the census I sent you? did you have any trouble with it. Naturally Mr Denney made short work of the images it took me three days to scan and ready, then posted them for others!

Good to see even more new members and some familiar names. The new board is looking nice Mr D! I love the smell of fresh paint and wood. Not to mention new floors and nice big empty closets to organize stuff in.... Beginning to look like home! I am going to pack a few boxes... lol

Tamara I did receive the census list whole and intact. I save everything on CDs but I need to label everything. Even when I don't have relatives on the census lists I like to read them. I keep everything on my computer files and CDs. My greatest wish is to go to the Archives in Texas, Kansas and Washington,DC. One of my father's cousins told me that the American Indian collection at the Newberry Library is also an excellent source of history. Research and genealogy is interesting. One of the changes that the W. Lawsuit started for me was this intense interest in Native History, my personal history and other's, it started a personal journey.

One of the changes that the W. Lawsuit started for me was this intense interest in Native History, my personal history and other's, it started a personal journey. I completly understand. sometimes I step back and wonder why I am doing this to the level that I am.... lol I know that this is what I did with my grandfather and it did his heart and soul good to take this journey. he left me knowing that I appreciated him, his past and his family. he knew that I had love for their memory and with me, he and they would not be forgotten. he showed me many lives, many decisions and many examples of different roads one can choose as they travel through this world. he taught me never to judge and to forgive others including yourself for being imperfect human. he and the journey back made me strong and able to accept lifes up and downs and even the end. each and every part of it has a lesson to teach and if you take the time to learn it you can be a better person. he and the journey he took me on, made me want to be a better person and made me want to enjoy this life and contribute to it. Vmarier, it still amazes me how you mention things that I am looking at, at the very same time that I am! this time its the Newberry library.. dont know much about it, but it has caught my eye and made me want to search there as well. Yes I noticed the synchronicity between us. Another thing I can do is -- I'm very close to my boys. My older son used to hate it because I would be in the same room and then I would answer his question before he asked or I would make a comment about what he was thinking. My younger boy can hear me thinking about him in another room and he'll come in and ask me,"Did you call me?" FREAKY isn't it! vmarier

Just saying Hi to my dad! I'm Michael Denney's daughter, Kayla. Obviously. He wanted me to sign up and I just now got a chance. I've very impressed by the site, it's awesome. How's the court stuff going? I never really talk to my dad about that stuff.
