Does anyone have relatives with Pelagie LaPointe and Antoine LaChapelle connection. Pelagie's parents were Pierre LaPointe and Etonkasahwee (Wabasha II's sister). Etonkasahwee is my great-great-great-great grandmother.

Alexander Duncan Campbell Alexander Duncan Campbell, Sr. married Josephine, full blood, born Wabasha 1794 and died 11-12 or 22 1875 and was buried in her garden. Duncan was granted land that included Pilot Knob but grant not honored after many years. Duncan was apparently first settler/trader at Mendota. 11 kids, it appears. 1838 census for Duncan: 5 white males, 6 white females. 1838 mixed-blood census recorded George 14. 1850 at Wabasha: George 23. George (1824-1863) marries Dakota woman Louise Deschamps(Itokan)of Wabasha Hello. I'm a descendant of George Campbell and Louise Deschamps. I have not been able to find any record of their marriage though and George Jr. (their son, my great-grandfather) does not have a mother listed on any official records I have found. Do you have knowledge of any records that show Louise Deschamps and Geroge Campbell were married or that George Jr. was Louise's son? Thanks!
