Casmuna was married to Iyataninwin.
They had the following children:
1. Wiwastewin wed unk. and they had a son Nagiwacakte. He wed unk. and they had Maggie Whipple. (see aditiional information below)
2. Hdiheykiya wed Unk. and they had
a. Charles Hedges(pejihota) wed Sophia Oyatekagewin and they adopted a son and named him Edward Hedges.
b. Oyateaku-died without issue
c. Oicagewin died without issue
d. Tatemazawin died without issue.
3. Mazaiyahdewin wed Wahpeduta and had son John Walker. John wed Sarah ? and they had a son John B. Walker, nd a son James Walker.. (Addition)Sarah's indian name was Tipitokcawin.
Addition: Mazaiyahdewin's and Wahpeduta's other children were:
Louisa Takanheca(first spouse of Joseph Godfrey,Sr.), Jacob Walker aka Acaksin,Sally Walker, and Sarah Walker.
Wahpeduta was hung in Mankato in 1862.
Mazaiyahdewin also was wed to Unknown male and they had Elizabeth aka 'Lizzy" Miniyokiyewin aka Brant. her first spouse was Tocokokaduta, s/o Julia Oldman and Tamazakan. They had a daughter, Emma Hapan. she married Amos Mireau and had several children .
Elizabeth 's second spouse was Thomas Brant, and they had 4 chidren.
4. Makawin wed unk. and they had a son Mahpiya Ackicita aka Soldier of the Clouds aka John Hoffman.At the time of the probate testimony re. Casmuna, John and his wife had 2 children Wihakewin and Tatehdinajinwin.(Addition) John Hoffman was also mentioned in the Heirship Records of Charles Hedges.

Nagiwicakte was listed in the 1849 Redwing Band census with 3 women and one child.(Ref.Goodhue county Missonary-Rev. john Felix Aiton. Minn. Geneal. Journ.: 9,pp. 853 - 858. Rev. Aiton mentioned that with his other wife, Nagiwicakte had 3 children.
Nagiwicakte and Mary Hoffman aka nagi aka Nagiskanskansawin. they had at least 2 daughters:
1. Maggie who was the w/o of (1) Paul Mazakute, then (2) Benjamin Whipple. this is the Maggie whipple mentioned above.
2. Jane Hoffman: N/A
correction:Anna tatiyopawastewin who was the w/o Thomas Wakana whipple, was Nagi's daughter, but her father was John Acaksin. Ref: Santee Agency Baptismal Register 1843 - 1904.
The reference that gave Anna as Nagi and Nagiwicakte's daughter was Caroline Anderson' in her dissertation: Dakota Identity in Minnesota, 1825- 1995. 1997. Indiana State University.
After Nagiwicakte was killed, Mary Hoffman had a son William born @1867-1872.
In re. to William:
The US Census for for Maiden rock ,WI lists a William walker as son of Jacob Walker.
The 1899 Census of mdewakanton Indians in Minnesota lists William Hoffman(Walker) with his wife Maggie, and daughter May(Bessie)living in Eggleston, MN.
In a special report to the BIA commissioner in Wash. DC, the Agent in Minnestoa mentioned the land allotment of William Walker(deceased), lisitng his wife Maggie as the legal heir, and his daughter May, and that his allotment was in the possession of his mother Mary Walker.
I have been unable to find a Birth/Baptismal record for William under the surnames he went by, which would clarify who his father was..
Nagi married Jacob Walker aka Acaksin in 1867. (Ref. Rev. J. P. Williamson Pers. Memorandum).

Mazaiyahdewin(sp.) was also married to Wahpeduta of the Wabasha band and they had a daughter Takanheca,w/o Joseph
Godfrey ,Sr. Takanheca also had a son Edward by an unknown male. Before she died, she gave him to Charles and Sophia Hedges to raise. the boy was given the Hedges surname. This is their adopted son mentioned above.
In the records re. Iohn kantgimdoka's estate, Sarah Walker wrote a letter to the BIA claiming that
Mazaiyahdewin was a sister of Kangimdoka's mother, Waskechatka,w/o Wamnuheduta or Dowanmani, and that the grandmother of Susan Windgrow( susan's mother was Oupan)was also a sister to Wasketchatka.Sarah indicated that she and her cousin John b. walker, and susan windgrow should be considered the heirs to Kangimdoka's estate.
John Walker also went by the name John Greyday at Santee. He was married to Winona and they had a daughter, Jane Greyday(w/o Duncan Stone,George lawrence,Adam bluestone/Elk, and John c. rouillard). Furthermore, Elizabeth Brant was awarded a 1/2 share in the estate of Duncan Stone, as she was found to be John Walker/Greyday's sister. John c. rouillard got the toher 1/2 of the estate.(Ref. Heirship Report of Duncan Stone, and Supplementary Report of Duncan Stone Estate)
