I just received this chart that was prepared by paul Brill the other day. there are soeveral errors (minor) on it. 1. Huntkaduta was not the father of Huntka according to His son thomas Huntka, who testified at a probate hearing re. David Stone estate. 2. Pazaiiyapa or Pazaiiyapamani had 5 children, not just two: he had the 2 sons listed, and 3 daughters. the daughters all died before the father. One of the daughters, however, left 2 surviving children: a son, and a daughter,Rebecca Maka-Hill who sent an affidavit to the Sisseton-Wahpeton BIA re. her late father and his family. 3. Yajopi was married at least 5 times, not the 3 that Brill lists on his chart. (References: David Stone probate hearing and Heirship report notes. 1902 Santee Indian Census) Please don't hesitate to let me know if there are more errors on this or anyof the other trees I have posted. thanks for your considertion.

I found from talking to some YST members that I have the wrong information. Agnes Heart was married to Amos Selwyn, not Henry Selwyn. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I live in the Washington, DC area. Is there a chance I may be able to look up some historical records from that a certain point in time that may be able to help me in the National Archives here? If so, what would be a good avenue to begin from? In other words, I would like to know if getting the last BIA records that I might be able to get will allow me to find those people and search from there at the National Archives in DC.

Your second paragraph is very confusing,to say the least. You can search the Censuses, we have here at this web site and at the Oyate Research Center site which also hase Census and annuity Records, church records and other information.the web site for Oyate Research Center is: httpL://oyate1.proboards58.com/index.cgi then use the information you find here , there at the national Archives. or You search through the Records Group 75 Microfilms for the Santee and other sioux tribes in south dakota for what you need, there in Washington,DC at the national Archives.
