John Naugikuwanmani -decesased Sisseton Sioux Allot. #1138 and Wakagewin: Deceased sisseton Sioux- Allotment #581
Heirship Testimony, held in 1914.
Alexander Redwing testified :
John Naugikuwanmani was dead, died @10 years before the hearing re. his estate. he was @ 80 yrs. old.he was buried on the Sisseton Res.,South Dakota.
Alex. doesn't remember his wife's name., but that they wed before the 1862 Uprising. the wife died after the Sisseton allotment. they did not have any children.
Parents of Naugikuwanmani: Kinyanihpaya and Wanskedan: both died before 1862 Uprising.
Brother oF John Naugikuwanmani: Tatewicasta. he died after John Naugikuwanmani,and was over 70 yrs old.
Tatewicasta's spouses:
1. Unknown. wed before the outbreak. she died soon after the outbreak.
children: daughter who was living,over 20 yrs old. Alex.
doesn't know her name.
2. Unknown. they had a daughter, Wanskedan., who died before John Naugikuwanmani.
Wanskedan was wed 2x:
First to Louis Frenier/Rewanke. They wed after 1873 in
South Dakota. They separted by Ind Custom @1883.
Second spouse; Iron Boy. Wed before the allotments. He
died 24 hours before she did.
Alex had no knowledge of any relationship between John Naugikuwanmani and John A. rouillard, nor of any relationship to
Alfred Barker.
Alex said that Hapanpazi and Mazawakinyana were children of Hapstinna. He said that Hapstinna and Wanskedan(mother of John Naugikuwanmani and Wakagewin) were sisters.
Finally, Alex stated that the two sisters had the same parents:
Makayuskanskan and Hapsinsinka.

John Taylor testified:
His parents were John Taylor and Bessie Taylor.
His paternal grandparents : David Taylor/Wapaniani and he doesn't remember his pat. grandmother's name.
Maternal Grandparents were:Anonginajin and Tahampimazawin.
John testified that Tahanpimazawin was a sibling of John Naugikuwanmani and that John Naugikuwanmani's other siblings were Louis Mazawakinyanna and Wakagewin.
