Need help finding information about Montgomery Pike Jr. and his wife Josephine nee Kane - Pike. Here's what little information I have about them. Montgomery Pike Jr. B: 1-3-1861 Dearborn, IN D: 11-23-1929 Clovis, CA (Possibly interred at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Glendale, CA) Josephine nee Kane B: ? M: ? D: 1925 Clovis, CA Any help would be greatly appreciated. I believe Montgomery Pike Jr. was a military veteran. I am not certain of that, though. Sincerely, Jed Pike aka Utzer0n113

first log into lDS Archives site). You need to register and give yourself a username and password for future visits to the site. itis free. type Montgomery Pike Jr. into the search box and select Search. You will get his vital data and by clicking on the links, go backwards and find his ancestors. I couldn't find anything on josephine. also you should contact the Fresno county library(Phone559-488-3195) and ask for theresearch Librarian's helpto find an obituary for Montgomery and his wife. these wil give you more information on them. or you can contact the Fresno Historical society(they would have back issues of the Fresno county Newspapers) at 559-441-0862. give them the birth and death dates of the persons you seek. Montgomery's father and mother both died in Kirkville,Wapello,Iowa. type Wapello county,IA GenWeb into google and see if those cheapskates there will give you anything for free. also type Louisacounty,Iowa GenWeb into google and see what you come up with. I was very astonished, that ancestry.com did not have anything on either of the names you were asking about.

Wow! Thanks any help would have been just fine... you've been a great help Vicky! Yeah, I ran into the same roadblock on Ancestor.com, I think you've found some promising info. I will check it out and let you know if any of it matches the info. I have about Montgomery and Josephine, I didn't have much to go on, will try to get more info. Thanks again Vicky, you've been a great help. The first link does seem to ring very true, the lower link (The one for his father, not so much, but I'll have to check it against the info. I have first.) Also thank you for the number to Fresno, as I am sure they can provide me with much useful info. there. The Woodards lived there as a family a long time. Regards, Jed aka utzer0n113

(Duke). The year also matches, Elwyn (Babe), would have been 9 y.o. as indlicated in the 1910. Thanks so much! Hermin1, I think they were mostly white, if any Indian blood at all. Pearl E. Woodard mixed ogala.

All better now thanks, a recent southern storm blew some mischief into this area. When I can see the link about Merrits later this morning, I'll know more the connection. No knowledge of a Merritt/Pike assoc. utzer0n113

Hmmmmmm, I saw Merritt listed next to Montgomery Jr. on the 1880 census. Thought they must be related. The 1880 isn't opening for me this morning, so let me know if you have trouble and I'll re-post it. Glad you are feeling better. :-)

Yeah, 1880s opened fine... just never knew of a Merrit Pike? Lucy, however was Lucy nee Jenison - Pike and I notice in the 1880s doc. a entry saying a member of the household's name is Jenison? Thank you, Vicky. I just posted a bunch of family photos, where did they go? Do I have to link them from ImageShack for them to be seen here on Mdewakanton? Don't know too much about the ins and outs of posting photos, each site is different. I tried to post it on the message about Rosalie Martin or the searching for the Martins anyway?
Thanks, utzer0n113

utzer: did you upload them to image shack? if so then you have to link them to your posting.Once you ghhave them there at image shack, then I think you have to click on the direct link selection and right clickto copy, then come to whereyou want to post them and then select paste in theEdit menu on the windows Explorer toolbar.
