I agree with you Tamara. Now I am confused. ther are abviously two White Dogs born back then. the white dog that I listed wit the siblings above, was a half brother to solomon RedFox, and I think, Anna Hunka. Their father was Sacred Standing Cow/Buffalo. a while back, I received a record from my friends in North dakota that had the family tree of Sacred Standing Buffalo which was compiled by Mr. Garcia. But, my brother's wife decided to help me reorganize my office. I had to go to the doctor , and when I got back that day, my office was completely rearranged, and now I can't find anything! hahahaha. Luckily, I had transferred the info, to my index. for children of SAcred Standing buffalo, besides Anna Hunkawin, Solomon Redfox, and Sacred Visible Voice whom he had with Tateahnahiyayewin, I have:Iron Dog, Grey Thunder, Goodhouse, and Chase(fatherof Lillian Chase). the siblings of white dog , according to that document I mentioned earlier, are the 1/2 siblings of Solomon Redfox. i am assuming that the would be the half siblings of Anna and her sister as well, wouldn't you? Something that doesn't make sense to me is that Mr. Garcia on that web site you mehhntioned, has Sacred Standing cow/buffalo as the nephew of thunderface, and Tateahnahiyayewin as the sister of Thunderface. Does this mean that Ptewakannanajin married his Aunt? hmmm I cant answer that one and really need to get back in touch with Mr Garcia.. I also am confused by my Nancy Stay to be listed on another family tree that somehow connects to Anna Hunka who is the woman who history knows to have married mr Stay while mine is not shown anywhere. On nancy Stay Paul's daughter Lousia Stay's probate it shows her to have inherited land interest in the allotment of a woman named Susan Hinhana... not that that helps anything!

You must have ESP!!! I just ran across that name yesterday. I was going through my files in my index. Her name on whatever record I copied it from was listed Hinhawnna(but then the record qwas hand written. Hinhan means owl na I think may mean little owl? what do you have on her as far as data(DOB and DOD? Was she married to someone, nd if yes, who. That will help me locate the name again. I sent you a cute joke about some little boys, as I thought of your little bear at the time I saw it. What are you going to do when the kids get out of school for the summer? Lord help you. send them to summer camp. In California, the kids go to school year round. three month sin school, three weeks off, then back to school for another three months.

I did not see her on Nancy's probate but I will look again. I think you are correct on the name and should consider that as well. I didnt see her name on the family tree I was talking about earlier but will check and see if anyone else has info on her. I am probably going to have to deal with them all summer and really dont wish what goes on in this house on anyone poor camp counseler. Might move to Cali! I have a joke too! A blind man wanders into an all girls biker bar by mistake. He finds his way to a bar stool and orders some coffee. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the waiter, "Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?" The bar immediately falls absolutely silent. In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, "Before you tell that joke, sir, I think it is only fair given that you are blind that you should know five things: 1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat. 2. The bouncer is a blonde girl. 3. I'm a 6 foot tall, 175 lb. Blonde woman with a black belt in karate. 4. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weight lifter. 5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler. Now, think about it seriously, Mister. Do you still wanna tell that joke?" The blind man thinks for a second, shakes his head, and mutters, "No... not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times." Sorry to any blondes out there, real or otherwise, but I am hoping they will get a laugh out of it (if they get it!) -oops sorry! Tamara

there's an old nun standing on a corner outside a bar. in the rain. A young man tries to talk her in to going in to the bar out of the cold. After some cajoling she goes in with him the nun looks at the drink list and asks the young man, "what is this martin-eye? The young man says its ia refreshing drink that will warm her up.,so she says to the young man"OH!. I think I will order that Martineye." the young man tells the waiter " One gin and tonic, and one Martineye." the witer yells out"that da-- nun is here again."

Spottedtail a Brule, but I am looking for some basic genealogy on him as well. I am putting this out there while I am searching, in the interest of time.

Hi Thingy, I have sent you an email. Please feel free to make any corrections to this list of children. My info from the Rosebud BIA is over 20 years old, so may have had some updating since then. Thank you! Vicky

n early half breed list 1841. My grt-grt-grt grandmothers children were allotted land on the nemaha half-breed reservation, but she was not according to my research commisioner there were three reasons why these 96 people did not recieve land allotments. They either already had land at the lake pepin half-breed tract or they were mixied with black or they were entitled to the land but simply were not given any. I am curious to know what was the reason her children recieved land, but not her or her oldest daughter. Her name is Julia Douville she is listed as being 38 years old. She had four children on the list under the last name Duncille i believe this is just a misspelling. Any information would be helpful.

I am wondering if Lucy Mahpiyawakenze is related to GoodWoman aka WinyanWaste. If so, what is the connection? She is my great great grandmother.

A Guest named Cindy want info on this .......
Hello I am researching a connection to the Decary family in Montreal and Ottawa area. They married Groulx family and were in the lumber trade in Hull. Some of them I believe were raftsmen and voyageurs from Drummond Island in past generations. Have you any information on these relations?

Hello Cindy, I wish I had info for you for these folks. I can, however, suggest a couple of wonderful resources for Canadian searches- The "PRDH" which is the French acronym for "The Research Program in Historical Demography" of the University of Montreal. For a full explanation of what the PRDH is, go to www.genealogie.umontreal.ca/en/ It is a compilation of all birth, marriage and death certificates in New France from the beginnings to 1799 (newer version may even go further that 1799). The paper edition of the PRDH is over 40 volumes 'thick'; but one can buy it on a CD-ROM. The WEB site above will have all the details. For anything prior to 1730- the most reliable "Genealogical Dictionary of Quebec Families" by René Jetté. Good luck in your search, and hopefully someone will stop by this site with some information for you. Happy hunting, Vicky
